Arrival and Departure
We strongly recommend that each student arrive at least a few days before the start of orientation events. This allows time to settle into new accommodations, adjust to the local environment, and recover from any effects of jet lag.
Recommended Arrival Timing
Students are encouraged to arrive no later than 24 hours before the first orientation session. Arriving early helps ensure that you can fully focus on the orientation program without unnecessary stress or distractions.
Move-In and Housing Check-In
Students with confirmed Al Andaluse housing should refer to the Housing overview webpage for specific move-in dates and times. Our team will be available to assist with check-in and ensure a smooth transition into your accommodation.
Airport Arrival and Transportation
Upon arrival in Morocco, students can arrange transportation from the airport to their accommodation via taxi or pre-arranged pickup services. We recommend planning your route in advance and keeping important contact numbers accessible in case assistance is needed.
Orientation Program Activities
The formal orientation program includes several important components such as placement exams, sessions on adapting to studying abroad, and an overview of institute policies. These activities are designed to prepare you both academically and culturally.
Visa and Administrative Support
During orientation, students will receive guidance on visa registration and other administrative procedures required for their stay in Morocco. Our staff will assist you through each step to ensure compliance with local regulations.
Exploring Northern Morocco
As part of the orientation experience, students will participate in an engaging tour of historic sites across Northern Morocco. This provides an early opportunity to explore the country’s rich heritage and connect with fellow students.
Departure Planning
At the end of your program, we recommend planning your departure in advance, including confirming transportation to the airport and allowing sufficient time for check-out procedures. Our team can assist with logistics to ensure a smooth and stress-free departure.
Travel Tips and Preparation
Before traveling, students should ensure they have all necessary documents, including passports, visas (if required), and copies of important paperwork. It is also advisable to keep emergency contacts and accommodation details easily accessible during travel.
Support on Arrival
Al Andaluse staff remain available to assist you upon arrival should you encounter any difficulties. Whether you need directions, help contacting your host family, or guidance navigating the city, we are here to support you from the moment you arrive.
